Loon Sightings on Higgins Lake

Please post in the comments if you have had a sighting of loon pairs, nests, or chicks. If chicks are seen, are you able to estimate age (number of weeks, are they able to fly)? If nests are seen, what was the general location (NW, NE, SW, SE)?

June 16, 8:34 am - 2 loons between Treasure Island and Detroit Point

June 16, 9:06 am - 1 loon 200 yards SW of Loon Preserve

1 non-breeding adult/immature loon spotted just north of Flynn island at 6:45 pm on 8/8/2020

August 21, 2020

Single loon spotted near drop off, in blue water, in front of Almeda Beach. Dove down then resurfaced 20 seconds later.
